Amendments to the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act (“IWPACA”) will take effect on January 1, 2025. Employers must maintain copies of employee paystubs for at least three (3) years after the payment date.

On July 2, 2024, OSHA proposed a national heat stress rule to protect workers from heat-related illnesses and fatalities. It is unclear if and when this rule will become effective.
